Impulse Response Recording Audition Page
Each of the recordings presented here are edited WAV files recorded in key acoustic locations from each of the spaces as described in the accompanying information. The recordings are from the guerilla recording method and as such are the sound of balloons being burst, each space is significantly and obviously very different from the next and gives an acoustic impression. In isolation the spaces from which they were recorded can be difficult to visually imagine; the gallery menu provides a visual reference to all of the impulse responses presented here. Copies of these WAV files can be downloaded from the IR Edits Download page and used creatively or analytically for sound design, music production and audio analysis purposes. Each of the files were recorded using an Alesis Palm Track portable handheld stereo PCM recorder at 48KHz 24bit, broadcast compatible files.
